About Us

Hi there!

I'm Ethel & Ivy's Founder Christina Deidesheimer. After more than 20 years as a marketing Executive in the corporate world, I chose to build a business rooted in my education and experience telling meaningful stories and creating memorable experiences. 

From a young age I developed a sincere love for play and creativity. I participated in art and theater performance from elementary school all the way through college, where I earned my BFA in Acting. I then started a children's/ youth theater where I wrote, directed and produced plays starring talented young people from the community. One great benefit was working with hundreds of dedicated, wonderful parents those ten years.

When I moved into what would become an almost 20 year marketing career, I found all my art and theater experience to be beneficial in my growth and development. Earning a MS in Integrated Marketing Communications, I worked with numerous wonderful organizations and served many roles, including Chief Marketing Officer. 

These paths have all led me back here: creating a space where play takes center stage. Every product at Ethel & Ivy is carefully hand-selected by me.

I work directly with brands and attend industry events that allow me to get hands-on experience with the toys while learning about what's new and upcoming. This allows me to offer authentic plush, dolls and dress-up/ make believe products to you and your little ones.
