About Us

Hi there!

I'm Ethel & Ivy's Founder Christina Deidesheimer. After more than 20 years in the corporate world, I chose to build a business rooted in my education and experience telling meaningful stories and creating memorable experiences. 

From a young age I developed a sincere love for play and creativity. I participated in art and theater performance from elementary school all the way through college, where I earned my BFA in Acting. I then started a children's/ youth theater where I wrote, directed and produced plays starring talented young people from the community. One great benefit was working with hundreds of dedicated, wonderful parents those ten years.

When I moved into what would become an almost 20 year marketing career, I found all my art and theater experience to be beneficial in my growth and development. Earning a MS in Integrated Marketing Communications, I moved from Coordinator to Director to Chief Marketing Officer, learning and enjoying every moment of it.

These paths have all led me back here: creating a space where parents and children can find happiness through carefully selected toys and plush, unique children's theater activities, all paired with lovingly handcrafted coordinating accessories.
