The Lion and the Bird is a sensitive, beautiful, and utterly charming fable about generosity, kindness and true friendship. One autumn day, a lion finds a wounded bird in his garden. With the departure of the bird's flock, the lion decides that it's up to him to care for the bird. He does and the two become fast friends. Nevertheless, the bird departs with his flock the following autumn. What will become of Lion and what will become of their friendship? Young readers will learn about emotions, friendship, and kindness.
This book also serves as a great inspiration for budding artists, illustrators and writers.
Christina's note: I chose this book because it's beautifully written and gorgeously illustrated. The words are just enough to help the artwork tell the story, and bring forward the emotions that go along with unexpected friendship and subsequent loss. The story will tug at your heartstrings, and you and your little one will have to read it yourself to see what happens to the Lion and the. Bird in the end! Ages 3+

I ordered Lian for my first grandson Ace. It was a gift for his 2nd birthday and was even more special than I expected 💙
His first "doll" was a true gift and sleeps with him every night. Lian's chenille hair is such a wonderful texture Ace fidgets with it to soothe himself to sleep.
Also included was an extra lovie and a hand written thank you!! Definitely above and beyond my expectations. I am now a repeat customer! Thank you so very much.
Hi Wanda!
Thank you so much for this 5 star review, and your kind words. It was a pleasure wrapping Lian and nestling him into the Ethel & Ivy box for his journey to his new home. It warmed my heart to hear that Ace really loves his new little friend. This is precisely why we do this- to help people buy gifts that will make children happy. We really do appreciate your business and hope to be able to serve you again soon.
