Charlie Bears

The Lovingly Handmade Bears with Personalities
The story of Charlie Bears began in late 2005, when Charlotte and William Morris founded a magical haven known as The Bearhouse in Cornwall, England. Launching with just twelve precious characters, the brand has since brought over 2,500 distinct designs to life.

At Ethel & Ivy, we are deeply enchanted by the soulful artistry of these plush companions. Handcrafted by master artisans in collaboration with world-renowned bear artists, every single Charlie Bear is unique—possessing its own subtle expressions, quiet charm, and unmistakable personality just waiting to be adopted.

Because true childhood treasures shouldn't be mass-produced, all Charlie Bears are made in strictly limited production runs. These are not merely toys; they are highly collectible, vintage-inspired heirloom pieces designed to share a lifetime of secrets, comfort, and open-ended companionship. They are beautifully crafted to sit gracefully on a nursery shelf or be cradled gently in a child's arms, destined to be passed down through generations.

Artisan Quality, Certified Safety
While these heirloom characters carry an old-world charm, their construction meets the highest modern benchmarks for safety and durability. Every plush friend is thoughtfully stuffed, meticulously stitched, and fully compliant with both European safety marks (CE/UKCA) and North American toy standards (ASTM F963 and CPSIA). Free from harsh chemicals and built with exceptional durability, Charlie Bears offer absolute peace of mind as they become a permanent part of your child's early memories.
